Image Ark creative studio is nestled in the heart of the historical city of Patan in Nepal, in a beautifully restored traditional brick and dark wood house. The studio specializes in contemporary communication through graphic design, photography, film production, web design and product development. Image Ark’s founder, Marie Ange Sylvain, fell in love with Nepal many years ago and decided to call it home. With her team, a dynamic group of young Nepali artists and communication professionals, she turns the place into a creative and constantly buzzing hive.

With their ground-floor contemporary art gallery opening on an outside courtyard and two temples, the place aims at welcoming new energies and people and hardly a day goes by without making new acquaintances!

It is their common love for Nepal that brought Rebecca and Marie Ange together. This beautiful encounter gave birth to a very harmonious collaboration for Rebecca Recommends’ Design for Life humanitarian project, with Image Ark coordinating design and production. The team takes much pleasure in designing and monitoring the products’ fabrication and quality: “Is this the right shade? Is this pashmina soft enough?” For the Image Ark team, Design for Life is a wonderful opportunity to participate in Rebecca’s incredible efforts to help Nepal and its artisans and, the products are just pure happiness.
