The Rubens at the Palace
A RICHLY REWARDING, PROUDLY HISTORIC LONDON HOTEL, THE RUBENS AT THE PALACE TAKES GENUINE PRIDE IN THE GUEST EXPERIENCE IT PROVIDES. ADJACENT TO SISTER HOTEL 41, THE RUBENS OVERLOOKS THE ROYAL MEWS OF BUCKINGHAM PALACE (THE ENTRANCE USED BY THE ROYAL FAMILY).
Sleep beautifully in bedrooms adorned with silks, brocade, and velvet in striking jewel tones. The suites are next-level with a dignified blue and gold palette, chandeliers, original oil paintings, and canopied, four-poster beds. The dining experience here is downright regal – The English Grill, with its sparkling Murano chandeliers and open kitchen, serves the finest English produce and suppliers that serve the King’s kitchen. Round out a lovely evening at the New York Bar, known for its innovative cocktails, gin-tasting experiences, and live music, or the iconic Leopard Bar, with more than 200 whiskies and 30 champagnes. Consider one of the hotel’s Master Classes – perhaps learning from Executive Chef Ben Kelliher how to prepare the perfect beef wellington.

The Rubens at the Palace has taken many forms throughout the course of its building’s history. Parts of the hotel building previously had lived as a law stationer’s shop, a Court dressmaker’s establishment, an artificial flower shop, a tea shop of the Aerated Bread Company, and, during WWII, headquarters of General Sikorski’s Free State Polish Army.
