Don’t forget power plug adapters for your American-based electronics. Keeping cash (Euros) on hand is also key as cash is king here in Greece especially on the islands. If you intend to rent a car, motorcycle or ATV don’t forget an international driver’s permit (IDP).
If you’ll be visiting monasteries or churches in Greece, please keep in mind that you’ll need to cover your legs and shoulders. Long skirts and shawls may be provided at the entrance of the monastery.
It is always a good idea to pack a light jacket, sweater or scarf for the summer evenings, on a sailing experience, and for windy summer days.
Lastly, don’t forget to bring your patience – especially for the ferries, which are highly weather dependent.
