Carol Kennedy, a valuable member of the Rebecca Recommends sales team for the last 9 years, came to the luxury travel industry in 2016 after several different careers. She began in luxury retail sales in New York City before moving into account executive positions at two major New York Advertising agencies, Grey and Ogilivy and Mather.  After having three children, she returned to school to study landscape design and began selling her outdoor living space designs throughout New York and Connecticut, drawing inspiration from gardens around the world. When an opportunity to join the Rebecca Recommends team was presented, Carol proved it was possible to combine her sales, writing, and presentation skills with her love of travel and people.  

What’s next on your travel bucket list? Next up for me is Sri Lanka. I am obsessed with it and hope that this next year will be the year! Of course, our partners, the Resplendent Ceylon properties, would be first on my list of reasons for wanting to travel there, but I’m just as smitten with the unspoiled beauty of the island, the verdant hillsides and gardens for walking, the aquamarine waters for kayaking and the opportunities to experience pilgrimage sites like Adam’s Peak and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. And soon a leopard camp? You’ve got to be kidding – sign me up!
