Dwarika’s Sanctuary
Overview
With a focus on the whole body, mind, and spirit - and an awe-inspiring Himalayan setting as a magnificent backdrop -Dwarika's Sanctuary in Dhulikhel is a dream for those seeking to reconnect on all levels.
The peaceful resort lends itself to quiet contemplation, personalized spa treatments inspired by ancient Vedic philosophy and Buddhist medicine, yoga sessions, meditation, nourishing dining straight from the property’s own farms, and inspiring workshops and classes in pottery, painting, cooking, and more. Ayurvedic doctors, naturopathy experts, Hindu priests, and visiting monks bring their knowledge to the guest experience. Each suite offers private indoor and outdoor living, and every effort has been made to ensure that the resort is respectful of, and not harmful to, its natural surroundings. Guests are encouraged to venture out for bird and butterfly watching and gentle nature hikes through the exquisite Himalayan foothills.

Try the spa’s excellent Nasya sinus treatment – wonderful pre- or a post-long-haul flight to revitalize one’s prana, or life force.
Dhulikhel is famous for its sunrise and sunset views of Everest… you don’t have to go very far to experience spectacular vistas at Dwarika’s Sanctuary.
No journey to Nepal is complete without an Everest flight. The Dwarika’s Sanctuary offers a one-hour morning flight that showcases an awe-inspiring panorama of some of the world’s highest peaks.
There are numerous walks and hikes from Dwarika’s Sanctuary. My favorite is the half-day walk to Palanchowk combining breathtaking mountain views with a sacred temple visit – Bhagawati Temple in Palanchowk houses one of the most beautiful and important Bhagawati statues in Nepal.
One of the most visited areas of Nepal due to its very famous neighbor – with grand and panoramic mountain views, numerous temples, dramatic landscapes, and diversity of people. You will have a complete panoramic view of the snowy ranges from Karyolung in the east to Himalchuli in the west. Combine that with an extensive selection of healing rituals and experience a healing lifestyle during your stay. Ventours International is on hand to assist you with unique insights into the surrounding areas and one-of-a-kind experiences specifically tailored to your client.
At Dwarika’s Collection, sustainability is not an initiative—it is the foundation of who we are. We define luxury through the values of time, space, and handmade. At the Dwarikas, everything is original and handmade by local artisans – giving their work modern relevance and sustainability.
We believe that the culture and landscape of Nepal are the soul of our brand, and this deep-rootedness is present in everything we do. Each property reflects this relationship in its own way. In Kathmandu, through the careful revival and conservation of architectural and cultural heritage. In Dhulikhel, through the ancient philosophies of Himalayan wellbeing and the enduring wisdom of traditional life.
The same philosophy guides the way we build and live. We leave a lighter footprint by repurposing materials that have already been taken from the earth. Guests do not just visit heritage; they live in it, with thirteenth- to fifteenth-century carved pillars and windows integrated into the very fabric of our guest rooms. Guided by a no-waste and earthy approach, we source food from our six organic farms, ensuring our guests enjoy the same quality of food we serve our own family.
We offer a way of life that is true to our beliefs—one that carries heritage, craftsmanship, and the land forward with care from one generation to the next. It is this depth of experience that leaves a lasting impression on those who stay with us.
