The Acorn Inn
WITHIN THE POSTCARD-PERFECT VILLAGE OF EVERSHOT IN THE HEART OF THE DORSET, THE ACORN INN OFFERS GUESTS THEIR OWN SLICE OF ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE LIVING (IT WILL COME AS NO SURPRISE THAT THE CHARMING INN IS FEATURED IN THOMAS HARDY’S TESS OF THE D’URBERVILLES).
The award-winning, 16th-century inn offers an intimate home-away-from-home with original wooden beams, oak paneling, flagstone floors, and ten individually designed, Thomas Hardy-themed guest rooms. Long-time general managers Natalie Legg and Richard Legg strive for a warm and inclusive ambiance throughout the inn and provide special touches such as freshly cut bouquets and candlelit turndown service. Countryside activities are numerous, including strolls in the spacious garden, horseback riding, fishing, and hiking along the picturesque Jurassic coast, just a 25-minute drive away. Upon one’s return from local adventures, award-winning dining awaits, including the Inn’s famous Ploughman’s lunch (a local favorite) and Chef specialties at the pub, which was named “Best Country Dining Pub” at The Good Pub Guide Awards 2021.
